Why do we use polypropylene for sinks and laboratory furniture?
Because it is harmless and is considered an environmentally friendly plastic and recommended for food contact.
These are its characteristics:
- It does not contain BPA (also known as Bisphenol A) or phthalates.
- It is totally waterproof.
- It is resistant to corrosion, both acids and alkalis.
- It is resistant to high temperatures, even admitting sterilization at 140º, so it is used in sanitary articles.
- It is resistant to sudden changes in temperature, without any change in its molecular structure.
