Chemical pollutants:

GASES AND VAPORS

They can remain suspended in the air for a long time in the form of aerosols

The most common toxicological effects of exposure to chemical contaminants are asphyxia—since it prevents oxygenation of the cells—and irritation of the skin and mucous membranes, both in the upper and lower respiratory tracts.

However, acid corrosion, which destroys tissues, is another very dangerous toxicological characteristic.

Attention must also be paid to collective protection measures, such as washing, ventilation, and exhaust systems.
