Characteristics of the Materials Used by Roymaplast
High-Density Polyethylene (PE-HD):
In addition to its excellent processability, PE-HD is attractive due to its high chemical resistance and its strength and rigidity in the temperature range from –50°C to +80°C.
High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene (HMW-PE):
PE-HMW is characterized by its high tensile strength and excellent rigidity, as well as its ease of processing. Its operating temperature range extends from –100°C to +80°C.
Polypropylene (PP-H / PP-C):
Unlike PE, PP exhibits high rigidity, especially in the high-temperature operating range (up to over 100°C). It also offers high chemical resistance and good durability, even at high temperatures, when exposed to many organic and inorganic substances. PP-C even covers the temperature range from –20°C to +100°C.
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC-U):
PVC-U is characterized by its high strength and rigidity. Its temperature range extends from 0°C to +60°C. This material has good resistance to organic and inorganic chemicals, as well as to oxidizing agents.
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC-C):
Thanks to its high chlorine content, PVC-C offers exceptional chemical resistance, particularly against acids, lyes, and salts, making it an ideal material for the chemical processing industry. Its operating temperature range extends from –40°C to +90°C.
Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF):
PVDF is a high-performance, partially fluorinated material characterized by its wide temperature range of –30°C to +140°C and its resistance to virtually all organic and inorganic substances.
Ethylene-Chlorotrifluoroethylene (E-CTFE):
This material has the widest operating temperature range—from -40°C to +150°C. It offers exceptional chemical resistance, even in alkaline environments.
